Hey there, everyone! So I am making this post to address the many bugs & issues found in the newly imported Bot Battle 2, where many levels end up indefinitely softlocking you from progressing any further. I would like to let you know that I am working long and hard on this issue, but am also limited by my hardware capability. Many times, I've resorted to running Xbox Game Cloud to get Fortnite to run alongside UEFN, as running both natively at once on my outdated hardware ends up causing one of them (or sometimes both) to crash. They cannot be open at the same time, even on lowest settings. I am very constrained by my current setup, and have not been able to properly test the reconsturction of this map I made; which I did solely using my previous game footage. This ends with either an extremely unfair difficulty, sometimes areas that are bigger or smaller than they were (as scaling only looks accurate as you play, and therefore I had to just eyeball and approximate it most of the time, as, again, I had no means to playtest efficintely and properly).
All that's to say, I am trying my best with what I have. I am pushing through the various issues I have to create a stable release, but most of the time, end up resorting to an approximate, non-playtested release, which I then release publicly in order to try it myself by closing UEFN and opening Fortnite. It is very tedious, and frustrating. I also get work done by crunching in as much as I can and saving rapidly before either Fortnite or UEFN crashes. I also sometimes use the Xbox Cloud Gaming to playtest, but the latency and delays, as well as the “one hour limit per session” makes it difficult to do so properly.
To conclude, I unfortunately do not have the means to upgrade my hardware currently. I am an unemployed college student who is still (at the time of writing this) a freshman. So until I can work and provide for my own self, any and all support, big or small, would be much appreciated. In the meantime, I will be doing my damndest to get bug fixes up as soon as possible.
I felt I had to make this post in order to make it be known that I have not forgotten nor abandoned this project. I see a really dedicated playerbase who seem to really care about this series, and for that I owe direct and transparent consistent communication.
And for anyone interested in supporting, it is $1/month on Patreon. Thank you.
