Content update 2.3.1 for Escape Grul is now live. This mini update adds a new Freeze Ray item along with a few other gameplay improvements.

Freeze Ray 🧊

  • The Freeze Ray is a new item that can be purchased in the starting room. Once purchased the Freeze Ray will become permanently unlocked.

  • Use the Freeze Ray to temporarily freeze Grul in ice. Unlike other items, the Freeze Ray does not require reloading and does not overheat.

Lighting Updates ✨

  • The default lighting has been adjusted to be slightly brighter and reduce view distance.

  • Dark mode lighting has been adjusted and is now notably different from the default lighting.

Other adjustments 🔧

  • The game intro text will now change based on the selected game mode.

Leaderboard 🏆

  • The speedrun leaderboard has been updated with the latest submissions.
