This is a new glitch within Fortnite itself, with their latest update yesterday. However, I have been working and looking into this issue with Epic and other creators. Hoping to have a fix ASAP, and you will be notified whenever we find a fix. The glitch is known to be inconsistent at times, so sometimes you may get stuck in 'Connecting' or not. If you have been experiencing this issue, please let me know what platform and region you play on.

not only on pc on other platforms as well Europe Region too
The glitch is so dumb its like I get into the map then it crashes after walking around for a bit , and then when I restart to try and get back in the glitch stays
