This week brings layout saving, a new feature that will open up more freedom and new ways to build cool homes!
With layout saving enabled, changing homes will now save the furniture in the house (and backyard!) instead of returning it to your inventory. Then, when you return to that house it will load the furniture back to where it was before you swapped homes.
To get started, head over to the house shop and click the "Save Layout" button to enable it with a green check mark. If it shows a red X next to the "Change Layout" button, that means layout saving is off and changing homes will return your items to your inventory.
With layout saving on, you can now freely change homes and set each house up however you want! The house shop menu will also show how many items you have saved in each of your homes.
With Layout Saving you can:
- Use homes as storage units to free up inventory space!
- Decorate all of your different homes however you want!
Layout Saving Q&A:
How many layouts can I have?
You can save one layout per house you own.
How can I clear all items out of my house?
Turning off layout saving and swapping to a different house will return the furniture back to your inventory like it did before.
How will income work with layout saving?
Money per second will be based on your currently loaded house. Saved layouts do not count towards your total income.
How do backyards work with layout saving?
Your backyard items are saved along with your house items. This means you can save one backyard layout per house you own.
Why did you make Layout Saving?
Right now, it feels like players are stuck in the best home they have because they don't want to switch homes and lose the amazing designs they spent so long setting up. Layout saving makes it so you can try out other homes and return to your main house whenever you want! It also lets players have a "money printer" home for grinding cash and a show house for when they want to hang out and show off to other players.
We hope you enjoy this new feature!
