For players who currently use this map, you may already know that it’s in an alpha phase and not yet the final product. I’ve learned a lot from the playtesting so far, and many of the upcoming changes are being built directly from player feedback. I’m actively working on a major overhaul that will introduce a variety of new features, including (but not limited to) custom loadouts where you can choose your own items, performance optimizations, and a new and improved hub, while maintaining the performance users seek.
I also want to outline my approach to the weapon system for this map. The goal is to focus the loot pool on reflecting the current season’s loot pool. This helps reduce the total number of actors placed in the map, improving performance, as having an excessive number of items can contribute to lag and stability issues.
Beyond performance benefits, this approach allows players to practice with, learn, and improve using the current loot pool, while also effortlessly staying up to date with each season’s available weapons and items—making the map more relevant for real in-game scenarios.
Keep an eye out for a future community post announcing this update—it’s currently in the works and will be available soon. If you follow me, you’ll be notified directly through Fortnite.
Thank you for your interest and for helping playtest the map.
