With the update earlier today, the Bonus Tile upgrade was not taking the correct amount of money from players when purchased. We have just released an update that will automatically refund all players with the money that was lost. It will also reset Bonus Tiles back to zero so consider it a full reset to how things were before the update. You can now purchase Bonus Tiles from the upgrade shop for the correct amounts of gold. We are sorry for the issue and hope you can now enjoy this update.

Are you going to stay at a set number for the house paint ? I don't want to turn mine off or change it, because others have said they lost it when you add new items. Perhaps a set number in order to unlock it and don't change the number ?
