Hi Masters!
My name is Lionheart and I’m the game lead for Sidekick Masters. I’d like to share more about where the game is headed and what you can look forward to in the future.
First, thank you sincerely for spending time playing our game. I know there are thousands of games you could be playing in Fortnite today, and I’m grateful you’ve selected Sidekick Masters to be one of them.
Sidekick Masters is our spiritual successor to Super Pet World, built around the excitement of collecting companions, training them to your preferences, and putting your strategies to the test in turn-based PVE and PVP battles.
Our complete vision is still in the works, and we want to shape the future of the game based on your preferences. This means learning from you about what parts are working well, what parts need improvement, and what you feel is missing. We ask that you channel your passion into these areas, and share feedback with us directly on Discord and across social media. Please don’t hold back, but we do ask that you try to be polite in all communications whenever possible (remember, we share your passion for the game).
Today, we are focused on solving performance issues while players are introduced to the many rotating elements of the Wilds. Our current live service plan includes a three week cycle that will run as follows:
Week A: Earth, Water, and Ice Events
Week B: Nature, Fire, and Thunder Events
Week C: Light, Physical, and Dark Events
Each Event offers Mythic, Exotic, and Secret Sidekicks that can only appear during their Events. Prepare your team, strengthen your builds, and keep an eye out for these rare encounters! No need to worry if one escapes your collection - the A/B/C Event rotation will happen regularly.
We’re also developing new, limited time biomes for the Wilds that will introduce even more Sidekicks in the months ahead. Upcoming themes include the Summer, Toon Town, Deep Space, and more. We look forward to sharing details here soon!
PVP is also high on our list of priorities. In order to truly fulfill the fantasy of being a Master, we know it’s important to let you challenge friends and other players to duel. Development is already under way for a new area where players can issue these challenges and climb leaderboards to be the ultimate Sidekick Master. Until then, continue growing your collection, experimenting with new builds, and preparing your strongest Sidekicks for the battles ahead.
