Hey all! Here’s a look at what’s new and returning in this update, alongside a round of improvements and bug fixes.
Play With Others From Homebase
A new Play With Others console in your Homebase now lets you skip the World Map step, taking you straight to matchmaking. Walk up to it and choose a zone you’ve unlocked from the drop-down menu - including the active Venture zone and Seasonal event. It starts you off based on your current Campaign Quest progress.
More of a menu person? Play With Others is also available in the Command tab.
Tactical Assault Sledgehammer
Breach in 3, 2, 1… This Legendary Soldier from the Road Trip Heroes set packs extra punch into crit-focused Assault and SMG loadouts. Find him in the Event Items section for 2,800 Gold.
Standard Perk: Assault Crit Damage
Increases Assault and SMG Critical Damage by 75%.
Commander Perk:
Increases Assault and SMG Critical Damage by 225%.
Primal Rifle
Go primal without drawing the Wildlife. The Primal Rifle is a high-capacity Assault weapon built for medium to long-range combat. While held, Wildlife won’t attack you unless provoked. Available in the Event Items section for 600 Gold.
Coming Next Week
Primal Stink Bow
Leave a… lingering impression. This fast-firing Legendary Bow unleashes a damaging stink cloud on impact, continuously dealing damage to the enemies inside. Available in the Event Items section for 1,680 Gold.
Hot Mix
Drop the beat and bring the heat. The Hot Mix is a Legendary Pistol from the Boombox Weapons set that has a chance to make the target and nearby enemies dance while dealing fire damage over time. Recently affected enemies can’t be made to dance again for a short time, and the dancing effect doesn’t affect Mist Monsters or Bosses. Cop it from the Event Items section for 1,680 Gold.
✅ Save the World Bug Fixes & Improvements
Matchmaking & Performance
Fixed an issue where Play With Others always showed the "No Players Found" message, even when other players' sessions were available.
As part of our continued work to reduce load times across platforms, players on PC will now load into Homebase, Missions, Ventures and Storm Shield Defense significantly faster depending on their hardware.
Missions
Enemy spawns in Deliver the Bomb now ramp up as intended after the bomb is destroyed, instead of arriving in one huge wave.
Heroes, Defenders & Enemies
You can now recruit Birthday Brigade Heroes from the Collection Book! 🥳
You can now revive Defenders by using the Adrenaline Rush Gadget
Defenders can now be ordered to defend or follow you when using the Quick Builder controller layout.
Defenders have learned that lava is, in fact, hot. They now take damage from it and teleport back to your side.
Instead of standing by, Defenders now join the fight when you attack untamed Wildlife.
Fixed a bug where the “Recall Defenders” progress indicator didn’t appear when using a controller.
You can now command your Defenders to defend or follow without needing to get off your tamed Wildlife.
Husks and Smashers below a player manning R.O.S.I.E. now correctly continue attacking the structure's supports instead of freezing in place.
Cosmetics
Switching Sprites in the Sprite Mastery Pod Back Bling no longer carries the old Sprite’s textures over to the new one in Homebase.
Audio, Environment & UI
Placed pings now appear on both the map and minimap so the whole team stays on the same page.
Corrected the outdated “Leave Mission?” pop-up that said you’d return to Homebase instead of exiting Save the World.
You can now scroll all the way through the Owned Llamas tab when using a controller.
Restored the hold prompt for unopened Llamas in the Exchange tab, fixing a conflict where Show and Inspect shared the same controller button.
Removed the redundant Close button from the reward screen, fixing a bug that could get you stuck after inspecting Mission rewards.
The Details panel now correctly loads Backpack items instead of showing a placeholder.
Fixed a visual issue where a tamed wolf’s Health Bar wouldn’t update correctly while riding.
The "No vote is required to start after" text on the Mission Start screen now displays its countdown correctly.
Ray no longer warns you to prepare for unwanted guests after the Deliver the Bomb Mission is already over.
