🎱 FortPool Alpha v1.3.8 — New UI and Inputs!

Last week Epic rolled out a new cooker, and it broke every published snapshot of FortPool we had. We took the project apart and rebuilt it more than once to find the issue and get you back to the table. We reported it to Epic, they opened a ticket, and they are working to keep this from happening again:

Now, the good stuff.
🖥️ New Main Menu
The Dashboard has a real Play tab. Switch 8-Ball and 9-Ball with a short rules card and fresh thumbnails. Settings, stats, music, and Quickplay live in the same place. Walk in, pick your game, hit PLAY!
🎮 Inputs that make sense
Harvesting Tool out = billiards. Anything else = normal Fortnite.
• Fire: hold to charge, release to shoot. After a foul, stand on the table and tap Fire to place the cue
• Secondary, short tap: open / close the Dashboard
• Secondary, hold ~0.35s in a match: top-down camera
• Reload is yours again (it is not the camera)
On mobile, Harvest Fire actually fires.
⚖️ Physics and the table
The cloth is about 20% smaller: racks feel closer, cuts feel sharper. The break opens the pack with a firmer, more natural burst. First-ball contact is smarter: the island remembers where the balls sat and where the cue was at impact. Wait for the table. That is the FortPool way.
🎵 Music that remembers you
Turn the stadium mix off in the Dashboard and it stays off next session. Turn it back on and it actually starts again.
🛠️ Fixes and polish
• 9-Ball no longer treats a pocketed 1 as still on the table
• Music, saves, and join talk to each other
• Menu navigation, crafting mappings, Dashboard nav
• Play descriptions and thumbnails follow the selected mode
Your cues, colors, and Credits stay yours. Season stats still reset with the season. Cosmetics are forever.
🧭 Coach
The in-game AI Coach knows FortPool rules. Ask about the break, ball-in-hand, cameras, gold. He is at the table for you.
🎱 9-Ball is live, and this is just the beginning
Diamond rack: 1 at the apex, 9 in the center. Always hit the lowest ball still on the table first. Combos are legal. Pocket the 9 (even on a legal break) to win the rack. First to 3 racks wins the match. The 9 on a foul comes back. Cue in hand after fouls. No called pockets: this is FortPool.
9-Ball is the first new mode on the Play tab, and only the start of a long run of different gamemodes landing in this stadium. 8-Ball is still home. 9-Ball is the door opening. More tables, more rules, more ways to play. Stay close.
