This map is a big ol' in-progress RPG sandbox.
It needs better Onboarding.
I added this Jonesy Greeter to tell you about how the world works, and to teleport you to a tutorial area if you want. It's clunky, I'm going to replace onboarding with the player getting pulled onto the island, but that's going to take awhile.
In the meantime....
When you spawn in you can talk to this guy, who tells you stuff that's intended to be "this isn't BR. You're not going to do a lot of shooting, go talk to people, and fish, and craft things, and stop the enemy from building another doomsday device" kind of vibe.
He offers to Yeet (teleport) you to the "tutorial" area if you want, which will take you here:
It's a quick tour of the background themes/IP/book summaries
A description of the map, and the factions represented in the gameplay:
The core goals of each side being mentioned in wall map, then laid out to explain the resource gathering and tech tree.
I'm pulling away from team-based scoring, and just letting people focus on exploration and lore, but this explains how the current scoring systems work, and what gets you points. Rounds still reset at 500pts.
One quick thing before we close here, and that's if you turn around, or really go through just about any teleporter, you can get back to my OG menu room. This is being phased out, but you can look around and zap yourself to other corners of the map.
It also showcases some of the custom objects I made. I should add the brambles/foliage and the bird statue in here too.
ignore the buttons and switches, they're for debug, not gameplay. Or don't. Just don't cry if your HUD disappears :)
So we finally got a snapshot in Discover! It had been a long dry spell, and it was great to see so many people playing at once. It's a new Peak too. Thanks to everyone who played.

If you want a more traditional BR experience, check out Zuurniverse Royale.
There's also a spinoff Prop Hunt map, you can find it in my profile.
I have screenshots saved for some POI snaps for the next post.
